Our Pastor

Pastor Shawn McLain

Pastor Shawn McLain became the pastor of Calvary Baptist in June of 2004. in addition to serving our church family, Pastor Shawn is a Chaplain for the Red Cross and Geisinger Medical Center.

Education

  1. He received his B.S. and his MDiv from Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA.
  2. He earned a MABS at Piedmont Baptist College in Winston-Salem, NC.

Experience

Prior to coming to Calvary Baptist Church, Pastor McLain served as interim pastor at Starkey Road Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, FL.

Pastor Shawn has been married to his wife Judy since May 18, 1985. They are the proud parents of one son, Michael, who is a librarian at Bucknell University. The pastor loves to read, put together jigsaw puzzles and spend time with his family.
