New Missionary Highlights

New Missionary Highlights: from the Templetons

Dear friends in Christ,

The radio ministry has recovered from the losses we suffered from the robbery of our radio station in the city of Sullana.

The new housing unit that stores the transmitter, computer, and other equipment is now a very fortified bunker. Most importantly, the station is now on the air. We are grateful to the Lord and our many supporters for their help. A lot of listeners sacrificed to get the Word of God back on the air. Thank you for praying.

The station in the central coast of Peru located in the city of Huarmey is now off the air. A church granted us permission to put the station on their property. We try to team up with local churches. This helps their ministry as we guide listeners to their church. It is also a big benefit for the radio ministry. We do not have to buy the land, and the church protects the station from thieves. The Huarmey church received a donation that will allow them to construct a larger facility. Once it is built, we will place our tower on top of the building. Until the structure is finished, the transmission is suspended. We praise the Lord for the church’s construction and pray they can finish soon.

A radio license was sold to us for $5,000 plus the cost of the transfer of the license. The Lord has provided those funds to make that purchase.

This month I have had lots of counseling. I recently finished preaching a series through the book of Job. What a powerful book. At the end, I plan to give messages on how to apply what Job teaches us. Ruth visited six of our grandchildren (Jessica’s children) in Pennsylvania and continued helping her twin brother who has suffered three strokes. God willing, on July 1 Ruth and I will meet up in Lima to continue serving our wonderful Lord.

From the middle of August through November 1, we plan to visit as many of our supporting churches as time will allow. We will lack visiting four more and hopefully we can visit them in 2027. Thank you for your patience in getting around to report to all of you.
